Frequently Asked Questions


Will a pre-authorisation be taken on check in? 
Yes, we will ask for a pre-authorisation when you check in, £50 per head, per night.  We do not take this payment out of your bank, it is a hold on your account by your bank.  Once you check out and this is released by us this is then your bank’s responsibility to release this back to your account, this can take up to 3 days depending on your bank.
Will you call to take card details over the phone? 
We will only take card details if you have called us.  Please if you get a call asking for card details from our number, then please refuse to do this and say that you will give the hotel a call back to give the card details to confirm your booking that way. 
Do you have a lift? 
Unfortunately, we do not have a lift here at Guildford Manor.  If you struggle with stairs then please make Reception aware of this upon booking your room as we do have 4 bedrooms on the ground floor. 
If you need assistance with your bags then please let Reception know when you check in. 
What time is check in? 
Check in is from 3pm. 
What time is check out? 
Check out is 11am. 
Do you allow early check in? 
We do have early check in available for £20, this will allow you to check into your room from 1pm and also allow you to access the spa from 1pm instead of 3pm.  We have limited availability each day so please request this with Reservations as soon as possible. 
Do you allow late check out? 
We do have late check out available for £20, this will allow you to check out of your room at 1pm and also allow you to access the spa until 1pm instead of 11am.  We have limited availability each day so please request this with Reservations as soon as possible. 
Do you accept cash?
We will be a cashless venue from Monday 2nd October 2023.  This will mean we will only accept card payments from this point. 
How much is breakfast if not included in my package?
Breakfast is £15 per head. 
Do you have rooms with baths available?
We do have a few rooms with baths available.  Please when booking your room speak to Reservations directly to put this request in. 
How many bedrooms do you have available? 
We have 51 rooms available here at Guildford Manor.
Do you have twin bedrooms?

We only have four twin rooms, please be aware that thsese rooms do not have views.  If you would like to request a twin room then please contact us directly not through a third party.  These rooms are not guaranteed to be available. 

Do you have room service available? 
We do have room service available, please be aware that there is a £5 tray service.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we do have free parking.  
What is your cancellation policy?
If you have booked just a room with us then you will have a 24 hour cancellation before your stay (before 3pm) 
Package stays can be canclled 5 days before their schueduled check in time. 
Booked through a third party, then you will need to check their cancellation policy and contact them directly. 
Do you have electronic car charging banks? 

Yes, we have 4 electric car charging points.  You will find these at the end of the car park on the right.
Please be aware that a pre-auth will be taken of £45, if the amount is lower when your car is charged then the remaining difference will be released back to you.

Is there live music, functions and events?
We often have live music at weddings and events that goes on until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 11pm on Sundays.
Please check with Reception to check for any scheduled events.  If you are sensive to noise, please contact us and we will do our best to place you in a quieter rooom away from any functions.
Is there phone reception at the Manor? 
The Manor is set in the Surrey hills, which means the phone reception can be limited.  This is why you book us to escape the phone calls. 


What are your spa and gym opening times? 
Monday – Friday: 7am – 10pm (last entry 9:30pm)
Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holiday: 8am – 8pm (last entry 7pm)
Do you have robes available?
We do have robes available for hire. 

Some overnight packages will have robes included. 

If you have a night booked with us and no robes included and would like to hire robes, then there will be a £7 charge per robe. 

Is there an additional cost for the Spa if I have a bedroom?
The spa and gym are free for you to use within your room rate.  You will have access between your check in time of 3pm and check out time of 11am. 
Are spa day passes available to purchase?
Unfortunately, we do not have day passes for the spa available.  We do have packages available, which include three hours of spa access with either lunch / afternoon tea / dinner included.

If I have a treatment only booked, can I use the Spa facilities? 

No, you will not have access to the Spa.  We do have packages available to use the Spa with a treatment included. 

Do you have changing rooms available?
We do have changing rooms available with shower cubicles.  Please be aware that these changing rooms are unisex.  There are individual changing cubicles in the changing room.
Do you have lockers available for the gym and spa?
We do have lockers available in the changing rooms.  Please be aware you will require a £1 coin or trolley coin to use the lockers.
Mainenance of Spa facilities?
For safety and maintenance, spa facilities may be under maintenance during your stay.  Please check for any scheduled maintenance work for the duration of your stay by contacting Reception.
