Surrounded by the Surrey Hills countryside, our elegant suites and private gardens offer space for quiet reflection and for gathering with family and friends.
Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Guildford Crematorium and 4 minutes from Clandonwood Natural Burial Ground, we tailor catering and arrangements with sensitivity, ensuring every detail supports a meaningful farewell.
The Lytton Strachey Suite
The Lytton Strachey Suite is our largest event space, designed for gatherings where more guests are expected. With capacity for up to 120 guests seated or 200 guests for a standing reception, it offers flexibility for funeral wakes and celebrations of life. The suite features inbuilt air conditioning, a PA system and microphone for tributes, and its own private bar. Guests also enjoy exclusive use of the adjoining Garden Terrace, complete with outdoor furniture, giant parasols, and heaters — a welcoming indoor–outdoor setting to gather in comfort.
Hire: £175 per hour (minimum 3 hours)
The Bloomsbury Suite
The Bloomsbury Suite provides an elegant, light-filled setting ideal for more intimate funeral wakes and celebrations of life. With capacity for up to 70 guests seated or 100 guests for a standing reception, it offers the perfect balance of space and warmth. Large windows frame views of the surrounding gardens, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere. Often hired alongside the adjoining Lounge, the suite benefits from convenient access to a private bar, as well as inbuilt air conditioning and a speaker system. Adaptable and comfortable, the Bloomsbury Suite suits smaller gatherings beautifully.

Bespoke Menus to Suit Every Gathering
Food and drink play an important role in bringing people together. At Guildford Manor, our catering is prepared with care and can be tailored to your wishes – from light refreshments to full buffets designed around your family’s needs. Every menu is bespoke, and our chefs are happy to accommodate dietary requirements, ensuring your guests feel fully supported.
For a more refined gathering, we can also offer afternoon tea service or lighter menus on request. To complement your food, we are able to arrange drinks packages, including table wine or a welcome drink on arrival, ensuring your guests feel comfortable and cared for throughout the occasion.
